An exciting new project to rebuild, restore and refurbish a Grade 2 Listed building of historical importance. Located in a prominent position within a picturesque village in the Huddersfield area, this Three Hundred year old former blacksmiths is to be converted into a high end medical retail unit.
We will be working with very little outside space, and all works must conform with Conservation Methods of Construction, but we like a challenge at Barker Construction Group, and look forward to delivering this project to our usual impeccable standard.
Works begin in January 2023 with the first phase of making the building structurally safe. We will then remove the existing stonework in sections enabling us to carefully rebuild the external structure whilst keeping the Three Hundred year old oak frames in place. The final phase will involve the complete internal fit out of the medical retail unit.
Throughout the project, attention to detail will be paramount in helping us to maintain the integrity and history of the building.
