We initially built this beautiful home in 2014 for a family who’s child has life changing injuries due to medical negligence. The design was a fully accessible home with features such as widened doorways, hoists, specialist bathrooms and automatic doors.

Nine years later we were thrilled to be called upon to complete a further medical adaptation to the property including a substantial extension, hydrotherapy pool, wet room, office and bathroom including hoists and a body dryer.

A hydrotherapy pool uses warmer water 33-36° to support pain including physiotherapy.  The warmth of the water allows the muscles to relax and eases the pain in joints, helping a person to exercise.  The water supports a persons weight which helps to relieve pain and increase the range of movement in the joints. It can also be used to provide resistance to moving the joints, by pushing arms and legs against the water it can help to improve muscle strength.

We have created a beautiful and practical space for this family, and are honored to have been involved.

Alastair and his Family’s needs are changing as he grows older, and we are proud to be here for the journey making sure this family get the very best of what they deserve.
